Big Ambitions Queues & Checkout Flow

When shoppers complain 'all queues are full' they cannot reach a cash register — your checkout line is too short for the customer volume, so they leave. The Queue Tool in the Interior Designer fixes it.

What "all queues are full" means

In Big Ambitions a customer who wants to buy walks to a cash register and joins its queue. If every register's queue is full — usually because the queue is too short for the foot traffic — the customer gives up and leaves without paying. The symptom players report is the on-screen message "all queues are full," and it directly costs sales.

This is a store-layout and customer-capacity problem, not a staffing problem: more registers and a longer queue per register let more shoppers check out at once.

The Queue Tool

You adjust a register's checkout line with the Queue Tool inside the Interior Designer while you are in the business. Lengthen the queue so it can hold more waiting customers, and the "all queues are full" complaints stop. A longer queue does not cause a loss — items a storming customer carries are returned to your shelves.

Cash registers and customer capacity

Customer capacity is what limits how many customers a store can serve per hour. It is set by a hard Building Limit that depends on shop size (for example roughly 10 for a 75 m² shop, 30 for 225 m²) and by the fixtures you place:

FixtureCustomer capacity added
Cash Register20
Workstation (law firm / office)1 per workstation
Showcase (bakery, etc.)10

If your Current Capacity Per Hour shows red in the BizMan Insight tab, you are under the Building Limit and customers are being turned away. Add cash registers (each adds 20 capacity) and lengthen their queues to clear the bottleneck.

How to fix a full queue

  1. Open the Interior Designer and use the Queue Tool to extend the queue at each cash register.
  2. Add more cash registers if a single register's capacity (20) is the limit.
  3. Make sure the store has enough storage shelves so delivered stock is actually on the floor to sell.
  4. Keep customer-facing staff (Customer Service) scheduled so someone is always free to run the register.

Prevention when designing a store

Plan capacity before you open: check the BizMan Insight tab's Customer Capacity section, reach or exceed the Building Limit with registers and showcases, and leave room in the layout to extend queues. Store-design basics live in Store & Office Builder, and per-business capacity notes are in Business Types.
